Hope for the Persecuted is a faith-driven ministry dedicated to advocating for and ministering to victims of religious persecution worldwide. We stand alongside believers who suffer for their faith, providing spiritual encouragement, practical support, and a voice on their behalf.
We are guided by deeply rooted values:
Compassion Without Condition
We extend care and respect to every individual we encounter, regardless of religious belief, background, or circumstance.
Confidentiality and Protection
We are committed to safeguarding the identity and safety of those we serve. Discretion and security are essential in protecting vulnerable individuals and communities.
Integrity in All Things
We uphold the highest standards of financial accountability, editorial responsibility, and personal integrity in every aspect of our ministry.
Our mission is to raise public awareness about the realities of religious persecution and to advocate for improved conditions for religious minorities—especially Christians—who face discrimination, violence, and injustice because of their faith.
We actively engage churches, Christian missions, governmental leaders, and concerned citizens to stand together in support of the persecuted. Through united action, advocacy, and prayer, we seek to bring protection, justice, and lasting hope.
About our Founder,
Dr. David Joseph
Dr. David Joseph was born in Egypt in 1955 and came to know Christ as his personal Savior in 1972 in Cairo. In 1979, he founded the Egyptian Christian Youth Union, which became one of the fastest-growing interdenominational Christian movements in Egypt.
A graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at Cairo University, Dr. Joseph later earned a postgraduate diploma in Journalism and Mass Media, a Doctorate in Theology (2002), and a Doctorate in Oral and Dental Surgery (2005). He has served in numerous leadership roles, including Vice President of the Egyptian Medical Fellowship and Professor of Islam and Middle Eastern Culture at a Southern California Bible school and seminary.
In 1992, after answering God’s call to the United States, he founded The Last Harvest, Inc. in California to minister to Arabs and Muslims worldwide. Through church planting, Bible teaching, radio broadcasting to the Middle East, and print media ministry, his work has reached thousands across the region. Since 2004, he has served as Chief Editor of Al Tareek Wa Al Haque (“The Way and the Truth”), the only Christian Arabic newspaper printed and distributed in the Middle East.
Dr. Joseph is a senior pastor, author, educator, and practicing dentist. His books include Did They Crucify Him or His Likeness?, Me and the Authorities, and The Night Cairo Had Fallen, along with several other works addressing faith, theology, and ministry in the Middle Eastern context.
His vision is rooted in Isaiah 19 — to prepare the highway of the Lord between Egypt, Israel, and Assyria — equipping believers worldwide to pray strategically for Muslims and share the Gospel with clarity, truth, and love.
Dr. David Joseph is married to Dr. Carol Joseph and is the father of Andrew and Timothy.
